Start by saying…
This morning we are talking experience – that is the theme.
So let me start this month by asking you a question?
Are you making the most of the experience of your BNI sales team?
Seek responses and wait till you get some acknowledgement that they are probably not.
So, if you are not, what ways do you think you could do so? How do you think your team members’ experience could benefit you?
Seek responses and repeat one or two to the group.
Let me ask you another question – how many of you are in a small business where there are only one or two people? Where you don’t have a substantial pool of people to whom you can refer or with whom you can simply discuss a situation or challenge in your business?
Seek responses – maybe even ask for a show of hands.
From our perspective you could tap into the vast wealth of experience in your BNI sales team by doing the following:-
1. Ask every member how they go about finding referrals – you may learn a new technique.
2. Ask every member how they go about asking visitors to the BNI breakfast – they may have a conversational technique that works better than yours.
3. Ask every member what challenges they have faced AND how they overcame them – there is a good chance they have already faced some of the challenges you are facing… and solved them
Your BNI sales team is a substantial resource of experience – make use of it!
