Are You Making The Most of BNI? - Experience

This morning we are again talking experience.

So let me start by asking you a question?

How many people here this morning are the only people in this chapter who do what you do?

Trick question – will see if they are listening.

Now that I have your attention, let me address the situation of how you might benefit from the experience of others in your field.

For the majority of categories there will be someone in another chapter who does what you do. Have you ever contacted them and asked them for some feedback on what works best for them in their chapter?

Whilst BNI offers a standard system across the network, there will always be differences in chapters.

As well, individuals will always do things differently. You will almost certainly find that, for example, the Mortgage Broker in one chapter will get many more referrals than his or her counterpart in another chapter. Why? Simply because no-one has a mortgage on all the good ideas.

So why not make use of the experience of BNI Members in other chapters who do what you do. Swap experiences and ask questions. It is a great way to learn.
